Hair and eye color: Sven has long, purple hair that flows down to about an inch under his shoulders. Unlike most people, he takes extraordinary care of his hair - and it can easily be seen. It is very maintained, with the exception of a few spikes - which are just a fashion statement. He taints his hair with a ridiculous amount of hairspray, and a glob of molding cream. His hair seems like it would be the cause of global warming.

Sven's eyes are an amber tint, and incredibly beautiful. They really make him stick out - the combination of his purple hair and amber eyes. The two combined make him stick out like a sore thumb, but it's not an ugly sight to behold. Throughout his childhood he was given names - that were associated with his family name, and his eye color. References to money, and gold because his eyes are golden - and his family is a very well known, wealthy family.
Appearance: Sven has shoulder length, purple hair - that is at his shoulders, on the side and back. The bangs, however, remain to the side, basically just touching his forehead, but if the bangs were allowed to just dangle - they would be to the bridge of his nose; his eyes are brown as well. He wears a bandana, that is not the same as most bandanas. The one he wears is a hunter green, with a symbol on it, for courage (健気). He wears this 24/7, and only takes it off when it needs to be washed, or when he is bathing. He is rather short, well what is considered average, for his age. He stands at 5'9" and weighs exactly 153 pounds, which is excellent for his height - meaning he is very healthy, and physically active.

As you can see in the picture, he wears three layers of shirts. One would be a white button-down jacket, with a white collar, with blue embroidered down the side of it, and blue cuffs. He also has a white cardigan underneath, concealing a black tank top. Usually he doesn't wear all of this though. He tends to stick to the skinnier jeans, because they fit better - and eliminate any chance of "bagginess." He also wears his low-top skate boarding shoes (what they resemble), and as opposed to the cardigan and jacket - he wears a thin hoodie, much like this:

Personality: In a battle, he has the ability to look past his feelings. He would do anything that it takes to win, and will begin to ignore love, or an ally in a fight - and do whatever he needs to. Sven has kindness that could only be found in those stories about Buddha, or some fictional character. The trait knows no bounds with him, and is showed to almost anyone, even if they did just attempt to take his life. Whether it be in battle, or in school, or even in just learning basic techniques, Sven is able to learn very quickly. He can easily adapt to different combat styles, learn a new language, learn a new kido, or even learn how to not be socially awkward. Based on events in battle or even in everyday work, Sven has the ability to formulate great strategies to help overcome the feats. Almost 80% of the time, the strategies make no sense, but they have never failed him.....yet, therefore the confusing strategies win. He is very loyal to his friends and fellow souls. There isn't hesitation in the choice he has made towards his comrades. If need be, he would take a lethal blow to protect them.

He has been known to be very fond of the ladies, therefore he would be labeled a womanizer. Sven is to brave for his own good. This gets him in a ton of trouble because he will mouth off to someone way more powerful than him, and still keep his sense of bravery. His lack of powers make him very weak. This leads to multiple ass kickings, and a broken Sven. He loves to fight, but there is always the fear of battle - in the back of his mind. He is always terrified that he may die, but without that thought, he would be very arrogant. He loves to drink, and doesn't care who knows that. This usually leads to fights, and sometimes - an ass kicking. He tends to drink to the point where it is no fun, and he blacks out. So naturally, he never remembers what happens the night before.

Sven has been known to be rather compassionate. Which would mean he understands and respects someones needs and concerns by listening well and making an effort to see issues from their point of view. Even in the most dangerous and hectic of times, he manages to remain calm. This keeps his thoughts cool and collected in battle, and not strewn about - keeping him from focusing on the task at hand. Sven has some pretty great ideas flowing around in his head, which would credit his reputation as a creative thinker. Most of the time though, these ideas are unorthodox and unrealistic, which make people unsure of his thoughts. Sven has earned the reputation of being quite chivalrous. This was brought on by his extreme respect for women and children, and being a very proper person.

Strengths:

• Even in the most dangerous and hectic of times, Sven manages to remain calm. This keeps his thoughts cool and collected in battle, and not strewn about - keeping him from getting distracted from the task at hand.
  
• He has earned the reputation of being quite chivalrous. This was brought on by his extreme respect for women and children, and being a very proper person. This was brought about by how he interacts with children and women, and has even been known to be very nice to men too.
  
• Sven has been known to be rather compassionate, as well. Which would mean he understands and respects someones needs and concerns by listening well and making an effort to see issues from their point of view. This always makes him the "go-to guy" for peoples problems and what not.
  
• Mr. Tatsuba loves to fight, but there is always the fear of battle - in the back of his mind. He is always terrified that he may die, but without that thought, he would be very arrogant. This keeps him from being extremely overconfident, and allows him to see that grey area in combat, that lies in between victory and defeat.
  
• Sven never strays from the path of his allies, he always is by them - no matter the circumstances. Got an order to give, but another minion won't do it? Call Mr. Tat, he will do it as long as you are on his side - to prove his loyalty.

Weaknesses:

• Sven is also very rebellious. He believes that an authoritarian society is complete bullshit, and should be wiped out. The thought of submitting to the "man," in order to live life the way they want you to really bothers him. So he says to hell with authority, and does whatever he pleases.
  
• He is also very reluctant, when it comes to working with the other souls. He doesn't believe in their motives for what they do, and believes their mere existence is a nuisance. With that being said it is no wonder that he is unwilling to help them.
  
• Sven is to brave for his own good. This gets him in a ton of trouble because he will mouth off to someone way more powerful than him, and still keep his sense of bravery. This also conflicts with his sense of non-arrogance, but this doesn't mean that he isn't brave. The two things are somewhat similar, but also they vary accordingly.
  
• He loves to drink, and doesn't care who knows that. This usually leads to fights, and sometimes - an ass kicking. He tends to drink to the point where it is no fun, and he blacks out. So naturally, he never remembers what happens the night before.
  
• Even though he would never betray a comrade to move up in the ranks, does not eliminate the fact that he wants their rank, and power.

History: Sven was born on November 16th, 1931 in Tokyo, Japan. The actual names of his parents are unknown, so they have been named generically, Susan and Joe. Immediately after birth, Sven was given up for adoption - because his parents could not afford a baby, but did not see the act of abortion as a humane thing.

He was taken to the nearest orphanage, and was kept there. It wasn't long though after he had been taken to the orphanage, maybe a week, that a family had come in looking to adopt a child. Seeing as he had been abandoned at birth, the family wanted to take him - and allow him a life that he probably never would have had. By life he never would have had, it meant a life full of opportunity, and not a waste of time. The surname of the family that had taken him in was, Tatsuba, so he naturally was adopted under that name. November 23rd, 1931 - Sven ?? (his last name was unknown), was adopted as "Sven Tatsuba."

The Tatsuba's were not from Tokyo, and were just visiting, and decided they wanted to adopt a child while staying. They were originally from Karakura Town, which wasn't too far from Tokyo. Karakura was a very spiritually active town, which may the cause of the development of spiritual awareness in Sven. Even from an early age he was able to see spirits, and communicate with them - but had no specific "powers." Seeing as he had purple hair, the kids at his school tended to stay away from him - because that was different, and young kids disapprove of different. So after school, his father Kosuke, would take him to the park - so he could play, and talk to spirits. His parents both knew about his ability, and didn't really let that phase them, because nearly everyone in town was at least a little bit spiritually aware, or too ignorant to accept that - so they blocked it out.

Sven never really fit in at school, so spirits and his family were his only friends. His life may have been a lot less lonely, and fun if he had siblings, but his father, mother, and the dearly departed were enough to keep him happy. He loved all the spirits he talked to, but a few of them held grudges - and quickly became something that scared the hell out of him. A man he was very close to, he went by the name Mr. Ishida, had died in a fire - and couldn't keep the idea of being away from his family out of his head. A little while after his death he had turned into a giant black beast with a mask, known as a hollow - but the Tatsuba family were unaware of their existence, therefore they thought it was just simply a demon.

The hollow was not going to give up on the chance to eat an unsuspecting family - so he attempted to kill the boy and his parents, but there was one thing keeping him from this. Mr. Ishida still recognized the little boy, and didn't want to harm his "friend," which was odd for hollows. They tended to not have feelings towards anything, and just wanted to eat - but this one obviously had some sort of control over himself, even in the slightest bit. The hollow had taken control though, and attempted to kill the child - but was stopped yet again, this time not by his own feelings. A man with a black and white garment, that resembled a kimono had appeared in front of him in the nick of time, and deflected the hollow's attack. Sven was in awe of this man, he fought like it was nothing - and split the beast in half with a single swipe of his katana.

The man was different than anyone else he had ever seen. First of all this man wore an outfit that resembled a kimono, which he had never seen - except at fancy parties his parents took him to. Secondly, this man had huge shoulder armor on that looked like it weighed a ton, and made Sven like this guy even more. He walked over to the man and tugged on his sleeve, with his finger on his cheek.

Sven - Hello Mr., thank you for saving me - it was really cool!
The Shinigami - It isn't a problem little one, I was just doing my duties.
Sven - What exactly are you, and who are you?? I don't see anyone dressed like you, or use a sword anymore.
The Shinigami - I am Eon Shikimori, I am a Soul Reaper. We protect the living souls, like yourself from creatures like you just saw. That was a hollow, just in case you were wondering.
Sven - Oh! That sounds so cool... I wanna be like you when I grow up, it is the only thing I can really do to repay you...
Eon - Okay then, I might see you eventually then. You're safe now. So be at peace.

Sven was only six years old when he had that encounter with the hollow, and met a great man - Eon the Shinigami. Ever since that day, Sven had day dreamed about being one himself, and always played pretend as one - defeating powerful hollows. Even after he graduated high-school, he still daydreamed about being a Shinigami. His parents even asked him what he wanted to do in college, and he gave them an honest, innocent reply. "I want to be a Soul Reaper..."

Twelve years had passed since the day that would change his life forever. He had grown up now, more or less, and was planning on going to college - with the thought of being a Soul Reaper still on his mind. Boxing was something Sven had recently taken up, due to the fact that he had been bullied due to his hair - and he had a feeling that wouldn't stop in adulthood either. He had gotten his ass kicked several times in school for being different, so he was preparing himself - he didn't want to take any chances anymore.

Sven was going to school to become a doctor, like himself and his parents wanted. This involved a ton of late nights of studying and trying to stay awake - cramming information in till the point that his brain would explode. This is when he began to drink. Becoming a doctor was hard work, and really depressed Sven. Any girlfriends he had, left him because he had to spend a ton of time on schoolwork, and had no time for them. His friends had almost abandoned him entirely - because they could never hangout, and it was difficult to maintain friends when you have no time together. College was the only reason he became an alcoholic, without college he might have just been a Soul Reaper, and never been an alcoholic - but now he would forever rely on the booze to get him by.

Of course Sven was oblivious to one of the major things that was required to become a Soul Reaper, death. He had no clue he needed to die to become one, and was always going around asking people if they knew how to achieve the feat - they usually called the police on him. He had been locked up many times, because he was usually drunk - and when he went around asking people questions, it was considered a public disturbance. Little did Sven know, August 23rd, 1948 would be his final day alive.

Sven had just been arrested for being drunk in public, and was associated with a crime that he didn't commit - so he was thrown into jail. This was no place for a guy like him, he was young, fragile and was not a criminal - and he was in an ocean of murders and rapists. Sven managed to survive a few hours in prison, before he was stabbed in the courtyard, where they were having their "free time." He lay there, on the asphalt bleeding to death, not able to say a word - because his lung had been punctured. What a great way for a med-school student to die: stabbed in a prison, that he was placed in because he was drunk, and fit the description of a criminal. "This justice system is corrupt..." Those were the last words of the young Mr. Tatsuba, as a human.

To celebrate his death and rebirth, Sven decided to treat himself to some drinks in Karakura. He had walked to the bar, which seemed to be forever away, and he sat on a cushion at a table. A young woman had approached him, perfect.

"What can I get for you sir?"
"You can see me?"
"Yes, of course silly. Why wouldn't I be able to?"
"Oh... no reason."
He was in complete shock that he was dead, and she could still see him. All things aside, he noticed her, and she noticed him. Oh wow, she was really cute... he hated to be a pervert to such a sweet, pretty girl - so he restrained himself.
"Hmm. Tell you what, you could bring me two shots of sake, and you could join me?"

Of course she turned that down, because she was working - but he did receive his shots. This was the beginning of one of those nights where he would black out, and not remember anything. Shot after shot were downed, and he slowly become drunk. He was causing to much trouble in the bar, so they asked him to leave - and he threw a punch at the man that told him to get out, which caused a "mini-brawl." Whether he won that fight or not he did not know, but everyone else knew - he knocked five men out and then left.

He roamed around the streets of Karakura, till he came to a farm. No there was no bestiality, he was just roaming around. He managed to make it to the well that was outside of the, who he believed to be was a farmer's house. Water seemed like a good idea to him, but he threw up all in the mans bucket - and then stumbled into the pen for the animals. There were horses, and the horses were not to fond of Sven. He was kicked around a few times by them, breaking some of his ribs - until one practically threw him into a pile of hay in the corner. This is where would pass out, and wake up - not recalling anything of the night before.

Sven woke up, and again - he was in a bizarre area. He felt around him, there was hay - he decided to get a better look. He was surrounded by farm animals! He laid his head in his hands and began to panic.

"What the hell happened last night?"

So far so good. I apologise for not reaching this application sooner, hopefully you havent seen fit to leave quite yet. In any case I'm still waiting on those positive and negative traits. Also, is there any way you can intergrate that little conversation spoiler into the actual history rather than giving us a script in a spoiler? =3

Yessir Mr. Artix sir, will do. I just have been working a lot, and I am trying to do new traits.... Yoshi had some bad ass traits and what not, as well as my other characters - but I want something new. So yea >.<
